Day in the Life (Electrical Engineer III / Senior Electrical Engineer)

In this role, your day centers on designing, evaluating, and improving electrical systems that support critical infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You may start by reviewing system performance data or design packages to identify opportunities to enhance reliability, safety, or efficiency, then shift into collaborating with operations, project teams, and engineering partners to refine designs or address technical challenges.

Throughout the day, you will contribute to system design, support troubleshooting efforts, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This may include reviewing arc flash studies, evaluating system layouts, or supporting the integration of automation and monitoring technologies to improve performance. Your work will often span multiple priorities, requiring a balance of technical analysis, project execution, and stakeholder coordination.

As an Electrical Engineer III, you will focus on executing technical work, supporting projects, and continuing to build depth in your expertise.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your scope expands to leading complex projects, providing technical direction, influencing design decisions, and mentoring less experienced engineers while proactively identifying risks and driving solutions.
