Job Description

Summary

An Infrastructure Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, management, and maintenance of a cloud infrastructure. The duties also include following best practices and ensuring the security of the network. A Cloud Engineer has multiple roles and needs to have a well-rounded knowledge of various SaaS and PaaS solutions. Should have knowledge of Azure, AWS and Azure AVS services.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Azure Cloud AVS Cloud solutioning, maintenance and deployment
  • Experience with cloud platform Amazon Web Services (AWS). Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) would be nice to have.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Virtual Machines, Azure Database, and storage technologies, Virtual Networks, VMWare Site Recovery (SRM), Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer/F-5 load balancer and Azure AD
  • Performing infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime.
  • On-premises infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, firewalls, routing
  • Identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or 3rd party
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • DesiredCertifications: VMware VCP, AWS CCP, AWS CSA
  • 7-10 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management.
  • 5-7 years of experience with Automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology Management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Large enterprise-level experience in storage technologies supporting multiple Operating Systems and environments.
  • Proficient with Systems performance tuning, capacity management and replication
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
  • Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company
  • Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office environment (Constant)
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
