Job description

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is a Hispanic Women Owned & Operated national legal recruiting and executive search firm dedicated to connecting top talent with leading employers across the country.

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an Associate with a minimum 3–5 years of experience to join its growing Digital Infrastructure and Cloud Computing practice in Miami or Chicago.

The practice represents sophisticated clients across the digital infrastructure ecosystem, including data center operators, cloud service providers, telecommunications carriers, content providers, investors, and lenders. The team handles complex transactions involving data centers, cloud computing, terrestrial networks, and subsea cable infrastructure throughout the United States and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking to take on significant responsibility and develop experience in a rapidly growing and highly sophisticated practice area.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements.
  • Handle data center leases and development agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate service level agreements.
  • Assist with financing transactions and loan documentation.
  • Work on operating agreements and joint venture arrangements.
  • Advise clients on data center acquisitions, leasing, and development projects.
  • Assist with terrestrial network transactions and submarine/private subsea cable agreements.
  • Work directly with attorneys and clients on complex domestic and international digital infrastructure transactions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant transactional experience.
  • Experience with digital infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications, technology transactions, real estate, finance, or related transactional matters is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment.
  • Ability to assume significant responsibility and manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admission to, or eligibility for admission to, the applicable jurisdiction.

Compensation

For the Chicago office, the expected base salary range is $250,000–$350,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
