What You Will Be Doing
As the IR Camera Systems Engineer you will lead technical teams, shape future product roadmaps, and ensure current IR camera productions run flawlessly.You will partner with internal stakeholders and external customers to define requirements, model system performance, and verify that every design meets its goals. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading EO/IR analysis and physics based modeling to develop and validate sensor system concepts.
Driving trade studies, requirements definition, and architectural decisions for new and existing IR cameras.
Acting as project/technical lead: creating detailed plans, tracking tasks, schedules, budgets, and earned value metrics.
Presenting technical briefings and status updates to customers, program leadership, and senior directors with clear, compelling communication.
Supervising and mentoring multidisciplinary engineers and technicians (mechanical, electrical, optical) to execute design, integration, and test activities.
Conducting system debugging and troubleshooting, providing rapid technical direction to resolve hardware issues.
Supporting production operations by reviewing manufacturing processes, ensuring build up compliance, and implementing corrective actions.
Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, design data, and configuration control in LM tools.
Collaborating with cross functional partners-including systems, software, test, and quality teams-to guarantee seamless integration.
Traveling as needed to supplier sites, customer facilities, or test ranges to support critical milestones and interface reviews.
