Job Title: IT Field Technician
Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Location: Hybrid (Remote + On-site in San Dimas and Irwindale)
Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Field Technician to provide on-site technical support to our clients across Southern California. This is a hands-on, client-facing role well suited for someone who enjoys working in the field, learning new technologies, and supporting end users directly.

The IT Field Technician role is primarily focused on visiting client locations to resolve issues, perform installations, and support day-to-day IT needs. A company-provided field van is supplied for travel to and between client sites.

Prior MSP experience is a huge plus. We are happy to train candidates who bring a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a desire to grow as an IT Field Technician.

  • Travel to client locations using a company-provided field van to deliver on-site IT support as an IT Field Technician
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues
  • Install and configure desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripheral devices
  • Perform new user workstation setups and basic onboarding tasks
  • Support Windows and Office 365 environments
  • Assist with basic networking tasks such as Wiโ€Fi connectivity and printer setup
  • Perform on-site IT discovery activities, including identifying hardware, software, and network assets
  • Assist with IT audits by gathering system information, verifying configurations, and documenting findings
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation related to client environments, site visits, and completed work
  • Follow documented procedures and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with end users and client contacts
  • Document work performed and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Adhere to company security standards and protect client data

Requirements

  • 1โ€“2 years of IT help desk or desktop support experience (MSP experience is a plus)
  • Valid California Driverโ€™s License and reliable vehicle
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and common IT tools
  • Basic understanding of networking (Wi-Fi, printers, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Live within reasonable driving distance to San Dimas or Irwindale

Schedule

  • Primarily on-site at client locations throughout the workweek
  • 8-hour shifts during standard business hours
  • Daily travel between client sites is a core function of the IT Field Technician role
