Job description

Job Summary:
KBR is a company that provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to the intelligence and national security communities. The IT Support Technician role involves providing end-user IT support to ensure daily operations and mission success, including resolving technical issues and maintaining IT assets.
Responsibilities:
• Provide desktop, peripheral, and user access support for office personnel, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, printers, and standard business applications.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with IT policies and security requirements.
• Respond to service desk tickets, diagnose technical problems, and resolve or appropriately escalate issues.
• Track IT assets, support equipment moves and upgrades, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
• Experience providing hands-on IT support in a desktop or service desk environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with user account management, permissions, and directory services (e.g., Active Directory).
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Experience documenting technical issues, resolutions, and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
Preferred:
• Previous experience supporting a government or defense contractor environment.
• Familiarity with basic server administration or endpoint management tools.
