IT Solutions Architect - Observability & Infrastructure
Brentwood, Tennessee
Hybrid Role (3 days onsite)
Compensation: $65-75 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect specializing in observability and enterprise infrastructure to support large-scale modernization initiatives. This hybrid role, based in Brentwood, Tennessee, focuses on leading architecture discussions, establishing monitoring and observability standards, and driving platform strategy with a strong emphasis on Dynatrace administration, implementation, optimization, and enterprise adoption. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in IT infrastructure, hands-on experience with observability platforms, and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, operations, and engineering teams. You will help shape the future of enterprise observability, drive monitoring best practices, and influence infrastructure modernization efforts across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide monitoring practices and contribute to the future state of infrastructure and operational health.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead architecture and technical strategy initiatives across infrastructure and operations teams
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Dynatrace and enterprise observability initiatives, including administration, implementation, optimization, and driving enterprise adoption
  • Design, implement, and optimize monitoring and observability solutions across enterprise environments
  • Develop and enforce architecture standards, governance, and best practices for monitoring platforms
  • Partner with infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and engineering teams to improve visibility and operational performance
  • Evaluate existing monitoring tools and recommend modernization opportunities
  • Support enterprise-wide troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and operational health initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and administrators
  • Assist with roadmap planning and future-state architecture discussions
  • Guide technical direction across infrastructure, operations, and engineering teams
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience
  • 2+ years of architecture-level or technical leadership experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace administration and observability platforms
  • Deep understanding of enterprise monitoring, alerting, and performance management concepts
  • Experience supporting large enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Infrastructure Architecture
    • Systems Administration and Management
    • Networking
    • Platform Engineering
    • Security Best Practices
    • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Operational Monitoring
  • Experience collaborating across technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with SolarWinds, CheckMK, or similar monitoring tools
  • Microsoft Intune and endpoint management experience
  • PC-focused infrastructure and endpoint technologies
  • Exposure to AI-enabled operations, automation, or observability initiatives
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization or infrastructure transformation efforts
  • Retail industry experience
