Job description

The Business Systems Intern will assist in solving business problems through interaction with business stakeholders and SMEs. You will process map current state, identify areas for improvement, and capture in-progress updates to assist with documentation and stakeholder change management. You will also gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements, and design technical solutions as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs
  • Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements
  • Process map current state, identify areas for improvement, and capture updates for documentation and change management
  • Analyze existing processes for improvement opportunities or gaps
  • Identify business problems and, as needed, design technical solutions

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Problem solving skills, including technical challenges and critical thinking
  • Documentation and writing skills: ability to document requirements for both technical and end-user teams
  • Excellent time management and listening skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills: ability to speak to technical and end-user audiences
  • Ability to find creative solutions to meet or exceed business needs
  • Experience with Google Docs and Spreadsheets, Microsoft Office
