POSITION SUMMARY:
The HRIS Manager leads organizational Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) strategy, administration, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure HR technology solutions effectively support business objectives. This role is responsible for leading the HRIS team, overseeing system configuration, data governance, reporting and analytics, integrations, security, and compliance across HR applications. The HRIS Manager partners closely with multidisciplinary team and business leaders to optimize business processes, evaluate new system capabilities, lead technology initiatives, and deliver reliable data and reporting that support operational excellence and informed decision-making.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Demonstrate leadership by championing Lozier's Mission, Vision, and Values and living the Lozier Leadership Model.
  • Lead the daily operations, priorities, and development of the HRIS team, ensuring effective support of HR technology solutions and delivery of high-quality customer service.
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR systems, including business processes, workflows, security, integrations, and related applications.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify operational needs, analyze business processes, develop functional requirements, and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and governance of HR technology projects, enhancements, system implementations, and major upgrades.
  • Establish and maintain HRIS governance standards, including configuration documentation, change management processes, testing protocols, and release management activities.
  • Direct user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation activities for system updates, enhancements, integrations, and new functionality.
  • Ensure the integrity, quality, security, and governance of HR data through ongoing audits, controls, and continuous monitoring.
  • Lead organizational HR reporting and people analytics function by overseeing report development, dashboards, workforce metrics, and data analysis that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, cross functional teams, and third-party vendors to support system integrations, interface management, issue resolution, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting Human Resources systems and recommend appropriate system configurations or business process modifications to maintain compliance.
  • Evaluate new HR technology capabilities and industry best practices, providing recommendations that improve business processes, automation, employee experience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and technical leadership to HRIS team members while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal departments, vendors, and external partners.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, human resources or another related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources, HRIS, Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, or other relevant experience, if degreed. Minimum of 11 years of experience in human resources, HRIS, Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, or other relevant experience, if non-degreed. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading HRIS administration, system implementations, large-scale enhancements, or technical project teams required.
Required Skills:
  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems and HR business processes.
  • Advanced understanding of HR data management, governance, and system security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
  • Experience leading HR technology implementations, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and change management principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships across departments.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Workday and related Workday modules.
  • Experience supporting Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, or Time Tracking systems.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, EIBs, Studio, or middleware platforms.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics and visualization tools.
  • HRIP, SHRM, HRCI, Workday Pro, PMP, or related professional certifications.
