At the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), our mission is clear: helping people live better lives. We are looking for an HRIS Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition team. As an HRIS Coordinator, you are responsible for DHHS entries, reconciliation, and updates for the lifecycle of an employee / position within Workday and other related platforms. This position will also assist our Benefits coordinator in the administration of benefits for DHHS teammates.
This position will be based out of our Lincoln office. Scheduled hours are 8:30a - 5:00pm.
Wage: 17.608-27.577/ hour. Pay rate may commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved.
Examples of Work
As an HRIS Coordinator, you will:
  • Initiate, complete, and reconcile entries in within Workday and other related platforms for the full lifecycle of a DHHS Teammate.
  • Monitor the progress of hires and transfers while ensuring accurate modifications occur across all related systems.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll and onboarding, providing timely and accurate assistance to resolve issues and address concerns.
  • Generates and reviews Workday reports to ensure information is accurate.
  • Review, audit, and reconcile information that feeds from Workday into other systems.
  • Assist new and current Teammates through the Onboarding process, including collecting required documents and guiding employees through Workday tasks.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures.
  • Run regular audits to ensure accuracy of data and correct discrepancies.
  • Collect documents and complete I9's following USCIS guidelines for new teammates.
  • Assist in the timely onboarding and offboarding of DHHS teammates throughout the benefit lifecycle.

Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: One year of coursework or training in personnel management, business administration, public administration or office/administrative or two years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with Human Resource Information Systems, working computerized systems used to collect, review and process information, and creating / reviewing reports to assure accurate processing of detailed information. Experience administering employee benefits a plus. Basic Microsoft Office knowledge including Word and Excel.
