Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The HRIS Intern supports the Human Resources Information Systems team by assisting with system build, maintenance, data integrity, reporting, documentation, and user support. This role provides hands-on exposure to HR operations and HR technology within a healthcare environment, contributing to HR processes that impact all BRG team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist with maintaining accurate employee data in UKG and related HR systems.

Perform routine data audits, corrections, and validation to ensure compliance with BRG standards.

Support the preparation and maintenance of system documentation, workflows, and training materials.

Run standard HRIS reports as directed.

Assist with basic data analysis for HR metrics, audits, and compliance needs.

Provide support to HR team members and system users on navigation, troubleshooting, and routine HRIS questions.

Escalate system issues to HRIS team members or IS partners as appropriate.

Participate in testing and validation activities related to system updates, upgrades, and new features.

Support HR projects involving process improvement, system configuration, or data cleanup.

Provide administrative and project support to the Total Rewards and HR teams as needed.

Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and comply with BRG policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort learning new systems.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
