Job description

About the Role

The HRIS Administrator is responsible for the configuration, automation, and day-to-day optimization of ROYOโ€™s HRIS/ATS platform. This role ensures that core People Operations processes (e.g., onboarding, access, data tracking) are streamlined, automated, and compliant, while also serving as the primary intake point for HRIS-related requests and field inquiries.

This is a lean, execution-focused role designed for a volunteer capacity, with clearly defined scope, SLAs, and deliverables.

What Youโ€™ll Do

System Configuration & Workflow Automation

  • Configure and maintain HRIS workflows (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, role changes)
  • Build and update forms, fields, and approval flows based on approved requests
  • Implement simple automations (notifications, task triggers, status updates)
  • Ensure configurations align with SOPs, compliance standards, and data governance
  • Review, triage, and prioritize incoming requests based on SLA and impact

User Access & Process Execution

  • Provision and de-provision user access in alignment with role-based permissions
  • Execute onboarding/offboarding system workflows
  • Maintain data accuracy during lifecycle changes (joins, moves, exits)

Data Integrity & Basic Reporting Support

  • Perform routine data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support maintenance of core reports (e.g., onboarding status, active volunteers)
  • Flag discrepancies, risks, or gaps to People Ops and Compliance

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain simple, up-to-date documentation for workflows and processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation or simplification
  • Contribute to SOP updates as systems evolve

What You Bring to the Role

  • Experience administering HR systems or workflow tools
  • Strong process orientation with experience in workflow automation
  • High attention to detail, especially with data and permissions
  • Ability to manage multiple small requests in a structured, SLA-driven environment
  • Clear, responsive communication with non-technical users

Deliverables / Success Measures

  • HRIS workflows are functional, automated, and consistently executed
  • Intake requests are triaged and resolved within defined SLAs
  • User access is accurate, timely, and compliant
  • Data accuracy maintained at โ‰ฅ95%
