Kratos Space is seeking an experienced Security System Administrator I to join our Boulder, CO team with the following primary responsibilities: 


  • Understanding of core networking concepts, including subnets, routing, DNS, and VLANs.
  • Installation, configuration, and support of servers and workstations.
  • Administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Red Hat Identity Management, LDAP, MFA, and related authentication services.
  • Familiar with scripting with Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Development, maintenance, and improvement of technical processes, procedures, system configuration documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Active, current Secret security clearance
  • Security+ certification or equivalent

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, compute, storage, and networking.
  • Dell infrastructure, including servers, switches, SAN, and NAS solutions such as Dell PowerStore.
  • Infrastructure as Code concepts and related tooling.
  • DISA STIG implementation and DISA SCAP Compliance Checker.
  • Container technologies and orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • PKI and certificate lifecycle management.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000
