Job Description :
Assists in the day-to-day administration and maintenance of IT security systems. Second level support to the Help Desk for IT security system issues. Solves IT security system problems and executes solutions within specifications and with direction/guidance.
Job Duties and Performance Standards:
1. Serves as lead administrator for IT security systems.
• Administers departmental firewall solutions.
• Monitors, implements changes after approval, backups, works with trouble tickets, and patching.
• Administers departmental Virtual Private Networking (VPN) solutions.
• Monitors, implements changes after approval, backups, works with trouble tickets, and patching.
2 Performs vulnerability assessments against new devices before production implementation.
• Configures, tests, reports, and provides guidance to correct deficiencies with IT system assessments.
• Escalates issues with the Information Security Officer.
3 Assists the Information Security Officer with technology evaluations and solutions.
• Conducts reviews of new and existing technologies and coordinates planning with the ISO.
• Reviews statistics from current IT security systems and provides feedback to ISO.
Preferred Qualifications:
• SSCP Certification
• CISSP Certification
