POSITION OVERVIEW
DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a motivated, self-driven individual to support security operations and related activities for USSPACECOM facilities during construction/renovation projects, and to formulate goals, plans, policies, and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports security operations, including providing project management advice for conformance with on-site construction security operations to the Construction Security Plan, assisting in the development and maintenance of transition plans for new facilities, and providing guidance in transition planning
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with the internal and external organizations essential to ensure operations continue to fully execute the Command's diverse global
  • Assists with formulating goals, plans, policies, and procedures affecting security operations at the MILCON site
  • Assists with setting and adjusting short and/or long-term priorities. Establishes organizational metrics and analysis systems to assess efficiency and effectiveness. Prepares and plans for anticipated or unexpected changes in project designs, equipment developments, or comparable aspects of projects
  • Supports the Government in evaluating requirements for additional resources, and balances organization needs with overall mission requirements and resource interests
  • Assists with the identification of changes in priorities and provides recommendations to implement such changes
  • Supports the establishment of review systems, making certain Construction Security Plan needs are met and validated, and that economy and quality of operations are maintained or improved
  • Prepares guides and procedures and assists in developing policies to ensure staff and security experts across all project functions execute converged, multi-disciplined, and risk-based approaches to assessments, staff advice and assistance, and inspections for DOD, supported, and supporting missions and operations
  • Assist organizations such as AFCEC, USACE, and USSPACECOM PMO with presenting, justifying, and defending priorities and interests.
  • Acts as the Lead Site Security Manager (SSM) expert. Acts as Security PM for Security and Renovation work, including developing SOW/PWS and coordinating with budget and contracting experts for award and execution
  • Delivers presentations on program status, including supporting meetings with executives of other agencies with parallel interest
  • Advises and assists the staff with internal coordination related to facility construction planning and management, and external mission partner
  • Supports the planning, scheduling, and execution of inspections and certifications associated with facility construction and mission equipment integration
  • Acts as a liaison between the USSPACECOM PMO and the Government construction managers, mission operation entities, and internal and external stakeholders, addressing all phases of facility project design, construction, and mission equipment integration
  • Provides Site Security Management support for USSPACECOM SCIF projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of DoD security experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of experience and ICD-705 Training
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance
