Job description

Leidos Security Operations is seeking an experienced security leader to serve as Security Manager for a classified manufacturing facility supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and U.S. Government programs. This position provides enterprise-level leadership for the industrial security program and ensures compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM), customer requirements, and company policies while enabling mission success through strong risk management, operational discipline, and trusted customer partnership.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience leading security operations within a classified manufacturing environment, including personnel security, physical security, classified material control, government inspections, and secure production support. This leader will work closely with program management, manufacturing, engineering, quality, facilities, and government customers to protect national security interests while supporting efficient and uninterrupted operations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Experience leading security operations supporting classified manufacturing facilities producing DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
• Experience developing security procedures for classified manufacturing, production control, secure work areas, classified inventory management, and material movement.
• Experience supporting secure manufacturing facility design, classified production floor layouts, and implementation of physical security measures supporting manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) expectations and best practices for classified manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting classified hardware lifecycle management, including receiving, production, testing, storage, shipment, and destruction of classified components or end items.
• Experience collaborating with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Facilities, and Program Management to establish compliant classified manufacturing processes.
• Lead all aspects of the industrial security program in compliance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DoD regulations, Intelligence Community directives, and customer-specific requirements.
• Oversee security support for classified manufacturing, production, integration, testing, storage, shipping, and sustainment activities.
• Ensure classified information, hardware, technical data, CUI, and government-furnished equipment are properly controlled throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Manage physical security operations, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, visitor control, key management, and facility security procedures.
• Oversee personnel security processes, including clearance actions, indoctrinations, debriefings, foreign travel reporting, adverse information reporting, and insider threat awareness.
• Build strong partnerships with DCSA, DoD, IC, and customer security officials and represent the company during inspections, reviews, and program discussions.
• Prepare the facility for security reviews, audits, and inspections, and ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
• Lead investigations involving security incidents, violations, and manufacturing-related security concerns, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Mentor and develop security professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience. Additional years experience may be used in lieu of a degree. supporting classified manufacturing operations within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), including application of industrial security requirements to manufacturing, production, integration, assembly, and testing environments.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with manufacturing and engineering leadership to implement practical security solutions that enable operational execution while protecting classified information and technologies.
• Knowledge of security requirements governing classified hardware, controlled materials, technical data, secure production workflows, and material accountability. Experience supporting U.S. Army or other DoD manufacturing programs.
• Experience with insider threat programs and classified manufacturing security best practices
• Must have a Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a SCI.

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
