Responsibilities

The Information Security Analyst Co-Op will support BTS's Information Security organization, gaining exposure to Vulnerability Management, Security Architecture, and Incident Response and Threat Intelligence while working in an agile environment and using a variety of information security tools.

Perform incident ticket triage Participate in security projects that are underway during the co-op cycle Create and maintain documentation Participate in applicable team meetings Complete overall project presentation and present to leadership upon completion of the internship Maintain continuous daily understanding of the threat landscape and changes impacting the corporation Triage alerts for escalation and decisioning Develop impact and remediation updates for senior management Document actions taken to reduce risk based on threat indicators received

Qualifications

Qualifications:

At least one completed year of undergraduate education in an IT-related degree Basic understanding of the network layers and how they interact Basic understanding of risk management principles for information technology Basic understanding of the threat landscape including actors, tactics, and campaigns Strong communication and analytical skills Interest in a technical career in the field of Information Security Participation in extracurricular and leadership activities is a plus Excellent oral and written communication Process oriented Excellent organizational skills Data visualization experience Aggressive curiosity and desire to learn Strong attention to detail

Education Requirement

Registered undergraduate student pursuing a major in an IT-related degree, with a preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
