JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Information Security Analyst 1, you will be responsible for monitoring systems for security breaches, analyzing network traffic for threats, and help implement security policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Threat Monitoring and Detection: Continuously monitor network activity, system logs, and security alerts for suspicious behavior and potential breaches.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Minimum one year of experience in identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities within an organization's IT assets.
  • Knowledge of Qualys or Similar Platform: Minimum one year of experience with tools related to Vulnerability Management and Patch Management (e.g., Qualys), including scan configuration, dashboard usage, and report generation.
  • Incident Response: Participate in the investigation of security incidents, following established procedures and contributing to incident reports.
  • Security Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals: General understanding of network security concepts, system hardening principles, and security controls.
  • SIEM Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with SIEM platform functionalities, such as automated threat detection, alert management, and reporting.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Maintenance: One year of experience in SIEM monitoring for the purpose of reducing false positives.
  • Security Awareness Training: Support the development and delivery of security awareness training to educate employees on security best practices and potential threats. This includes managing Phishing, Vishing, and Smishing campaigns.
  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM): At least one year of experience managing privileged accounts and implementing just-in-time access controls.
  • System and Application Security: Assist in securing various systems and applications, including installing security software.

  • Communication & Collaboration: The ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Teamwork: Ability to perform well in a 24/7 security operations environment.
  • Certifications: Preferred credentials include CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC.
