About the role
Tidal is seeking a highly skilled Trading Associate to support the cash and collateral management of multiple ETF portfolios. The ETF Portfolio Management team delivers portfolio management and execution services for ETF issuers across both active and index-based strategies, spanning major global asset classes.
This role is hands-on and actively involved in day-to-day cash positioning, cash movement monitoring, and collateral management for exchange-traded products. The ideal candidate has experience using Bloomberg (or comparable institutional trading platforms) and brings a solid understanding of financial services operations, including middle- and back-office workflows.
What you'll do:
  • Prepare and distribute daily cash position reports for assigned ETF portfolios.
  • Monitor daily inflows/outflows, identify exceptions or variances, and communicate cash movements internally and externally.
  • Track account balances and forecast cash needs to ensure adequate liquidity and collateral coverage.
  • Use Bloomberg and counterparty portals to gather information, investigate breaks, and research discrepancies.
  • Support workflow automation, assist with system upgrades, and create/update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting to support operational transparency and decision-making.
  • Partner with the Investment/Portfolio Management team to continuously improve cash and collateral processes.
  • Deliver consistently accurate work independently with a strong focus on quality and accountability.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, corporate finance, banking operations, or a related area
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and standard office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong ability to manage deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), and post-trade processing.
  • Proximity to Chicago and New York preferred
  • Experience working for a firm that manages 40 Act products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to trading activities.

The pay range for this role is:
85,000 - 120,000 USD per year (New York )
85,000 - 110,000 USD per year (Chicago Office)
