Job description

Job Summary:
Suncap Technology is seeking an experienced Informatica Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise data integration and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will work onsite in McLean, VA, focusing on developing ETL workflows and ensuring data accuracy and scalability across systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud to support enterprise data integration needs.
• Implement data loading strategies for large-scale structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning for optimal data processing.
• Work with data warehouse concepts (fact tables, dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, partitioning, indexing).
• Design and implement data comparison and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure data quality and consistency across systems.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical ETL solutions.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to support business reporting and analytics.
• Optimize ETL pipelines for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support for ETL processes.
• Work with version control, CI/CD, and scheduling tools for deployment and automation of data workflows.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience as an Informatica Developer in enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar), including performance tuning.
• Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts (ETL/ELT, OLAP/OLTP, dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).
• Hands-on experience in data loading techniques (incremental loads, CDC, batch, streaming).
• Strong knowledge of data comparison and reconciliation mechanisms for validating large data sets.
• Experience with ETL performance optimization and error handling.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for ETL and data issues.
• Ability to work in Agile teams, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or GCP BigQuery) is a plus.
