Job description

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and support data extracts, data marts, and reporting solutions. You will use Informatica PowerCenter and SQL to translate complex business needs into reliable data solutions that drive informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • ETL Development: Program, map, test, and maintain data extracts and data marts using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Data Analysis & Quality: Analyze business data needs, validate requirements with stakeholders, and participate in data quality initiatives.
  • Support & Documentation: Assist internal teams with data usage to increase independence, and maintain clear documentation for all processes.
  • Project Management: Estimate development timelines, own assigned projects through completion, and regularly communicate project status and risks to leadership.


Qualifications

Required

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter and SQL.
  • Technical Skill: Experience with complex computer operations, relational databases, and intermediate programming languages.
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Tools: Experience with IBM Cognos or similar data visualization tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the healthcare industry (specifically an HMO environment) and familiarity with healthcare business systems (coding, encounter data, etc.).
