One of our clients in Washington, DC, needs an Informatica/Linux Admin for a permanent position.

  • Position Type: Full Time

Task Description:
This is a full-time Hybrid role, 3 days on-site in DC. The Sr. Informatica/Linux Admin will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Informatica platforms and Linux-based servers supporting enterprise data integration and analytics solutions. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, managing user access, scheduling and optimizing Informatica workflows, and ensuring high availability and reliability of environments. The role involves performing regular patching, upgrades, and security hardening, as well as managing backups, recovery procedures, and environment migrations. The Sr. Informatica/Linux Admin will collaborate with data engineers, developers, and security teams to troubleshoot complex issues, improve system stability, and document configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Informatica platforms and Linux servers.
  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and Informatica workflows.
  • Monitor system performance and manage user access.
  • Handle patching, upgrades, security hardening, backups, and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripting.
  • Collaborate with data, dev, and security teams, and document procedures.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant practical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Active or interim Secret security clearance (or higher).
  • Strong experience administering Informatica (PowerCenter, IDQ, MDM).
  • Strong Linux system administration and patch management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or Shell).
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Experience with security compliance, access control, and change management.
  • Strong communication skills for on-site collaboration.
