Informatica Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Developer to design, develop, and support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes within our enterprise data warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, solid SQL skills, and a deep understanding of data integration and data warehousing concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Independently design, configure, and unit test ETL programs based on source-to-target mappings.
  • Collaborate with data architects, reporting teams, and application developers to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Design and document ETL solutions, estimate development efforts, and provide task status updates.
  • Provide production support and technical administration for Informatica environments.
  • Perform first and second-level troubleshooting and support operational ETL processes.
  • Follow established ETL development methodologies and best practices.
  • Participate in design and code reviews with senior technical team members.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation supporting developed code and processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the data warehouse environment.
  • Escalate issues promptly to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
Technical Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development for enterprise data warehouses.
  • 5+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter (mappings, workflows, and transformations).
  • Strong proficiency in complex SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Expertise in data integration technologies and ETL processes.
  • Experience working with QuerySurge or similar ETL testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and data warehouse automation tools.
  • Knowledge of testing tools, QA methodologies, and data validation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Kimball data warehouse design methodology.
