We are seeking a Senior Operations & Data Engineer (Informatica Specialist) / Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role will involve leading the administration and optimization of enterprise Informatica platforms while designing secure, high-performance data pipelines in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Informatica Cloud, data engineering, Snowflake, and platform operations, along with a passion for building secure and scalable data solutions.


Job Title: Senior Operations & Data Engineer (Informatica Specialist) / Cloud Engineer
Location: Colorado (Remote with Occasional Onsite – Preferably Denver Metropolitan Area)
Duration: 1 Year

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly specialized Senior Operations & Data Engineer to serve as the primary administrator and technical lead for an enterprise Informatica ecosystem. This role is a combination of platform operations and advanced data engineering, ensuring sensitive state and federal data is managed in a secure, high-availability, and cost-effective cloud environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Platform Operations & Administration

  • Act as the lead administrator for Informatica environments, ensuring platform stability, uptime, and performance
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, versioning, and vendor escalations
  • Configure complex role-based access control (RBAC) and platform security permissions
  • Implement and manage DataOps and CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments
  • Configure cost-management features such as resource monitoring, budgeting, and consumption tracking
  • Support enterprise data governance and data management initiatives

Data Engineering & Transformation

  • Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting data from transactional systems into Snowflake
  • Develop robust data pipelines using Informatica Cloud and secure agents
  • Configure and manage data lineage and metadata ingestion processes
  • Design and implement automated data quality and data cleansing processes
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS / Cloud Data Integration)
  • Several years of experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT pipeline development
  • Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DataOps practices
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management
  • Experience managing platform security and RBAC configurations
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Informatica Certification (e.g., Informatica Certified Professional – Cloud Data Integration)
  • Experience working with highly secure environments handling sensitive federal/state data
  • Experience in cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture

Security & Compliance Requirements:
  • Candidate must be eligible to pass background checks including:
    • OIT clearance
    • FTI (IRS Publication 1075) compliance
    • CJIS (Fingerprint-based background check)

Additional Information:
  • Remote work is supported; however, the contractor must perform work within the State of Colorado
  • Preference for candidates located in the Denver Metropolitan Area
  • Occasional in-person meetings may be required at state offices
