Position Overview

Cross Environmental Services, Inc. (CES) is seeking a hands‑on IT Systems Administrator to serve as the primary internal IT resource. This on‑site role supports daily IT operations and works closely with an outsourced Managed Services Provider (MSP).

The ideal candidate is a strong IT generalist who enjoys supporting users directly, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining secure, reliable systems.

This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on‑site IT support for ~31 users across three office locations
  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for IT issues
  • Coordinate escalations and projects with the MSP
  • Support Microsoft 365 (user accounts, email, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Assist with workstation, printer, and basic network troubleshooting
  • Support onboarding/offboarding (devices, access, accounts)
  • Maintain IT documentation and asset inventory
  • Assist with cybersecurity practices and endpoint protection
  • Support CMMC Level 1 documentation and self‑assessment efforts
  • Coordinate with ISPs, copier vendors, and software providers

Requirements

Required

  • 2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience, preferably.
  • Experience in a small‑to‑mid‑size business environment
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills
  • Ability to work on‑site and travel as needed

Preferred

  • Experience working with an MSP
  • Basic cybersecurity or compliance exposure (CMMC, NIST, etc.)
  • Familiarity with on‑prem server environments
  • Relevant IT certifications or equivalent experience
