Job description

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Performs statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports and visualizations of trends and patterns. Works with technology organization and business end-users to understand data and analysis needs to develop technical requirements. Partners with development and data management roles to identify and capture data required from internal and external sources. Creates and maintains statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data. Uses data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance. May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Perform complex data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis from various internal and external data sources.
* Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
* Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets to inform business strategies and identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, finance, engineering) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of data models and data governance best practices.
* Assist in the documentation of data processes, definitions, and analytical methodologies.
* Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new data analysis tools and technologies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
* 2-4 years of experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role.
* Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
* Strong experience with at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
* Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data modeling principles.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to diverse audiences.
* Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing concepts is desirable.
