Work Environment

This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to provide therapy from a location that suits your needs, in alignment with our commitment to accessible and convenient mental health services. The hours are typically Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient availability to accommodate varying needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and assess their current mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping mechanisms tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, foster coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
  • Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s well-being are addressed.
  • Provide crisis intervention during acute trauma situations, offering immediate support and actionable resources to clients in distress.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping techniques, and available support resources within the community.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in the mental health field, preferably with trauma populations.
