What will replace InfoPath in SharePoint?

For InfoPath developers, Microsoft recommends using Power Apps and Power Automate as modern alternatives for creating forms and workflows in SharePoint. These tools offer more flexibility, cloud integration, and support for mobile devices, making them the primary options for replacing InfoPath functionalities. Skills in Power Platform are increasingly valuable for SharePoint form and process development.

What are some common challenges Infopath Developers face when integrating InfoPath forms with SharePoint workflows?

One common challenge Infopath Developers encounter is ensuring seamless data transfer and compatibility between InfoPath forms and SharePoint workflows, especially when dealing with complex business logic or custom data connections. Developers often need to address issues such as form versioning, permissions, and managing changes to fields or workflows after deployment. Close collaboration with SharePoint administrators and business analysts is typically required to troubleshoot integration problems and optimize the user experience.
