About the Organization

Located in Seattle, Washington, Bloomingdale Psychotherapy Center is a leading provider of mental health services that aims to improve the lives of its clients through compassionate care and evidence-based practices. We are committed to serving diverse populations and prioritizing holistic approaches to mental health. Our team is composed of licensed professionals who are passionate about making a difference in their communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the best course of action for patients, coordinating with the appropriate levels of mental health care and institutional programs.
  • Complete statistical reports accurately to track patient progress and influence ongoing service improvements.
  • Lead group therapy sessions focused on mental health in various treatment units, fostering therapeutic connections among participants.
  • Engage in clinical supervision weekly with a Clinical Supervisor to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.
  • Participate actively in case reviews, treatment planning sessions, and interdisciplinary rounds to enhance collaborative care efforts.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and tests when necessary, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s needs.
  • Supervise interns and student volunteers to mentor the next generation of mental health professionals.
  • Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by the Unit Chief or Clinical Supervisor, showing versatility in practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clients of this role are incarcerated individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including behavioral issues, substance use disorders, and severe mental illness. Your empathy and clinical expertise will directly impact their journey toward recovery and reintegration, making this work both impactful and fulfilling.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.
  • A Master's degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in a behavioral health setting is essential, including at least two years of direct client care experience.
  • Three additional years of post-licensure experience demonstrating expertise in mental health assessment and treatment planning.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with both assessment and treatment of individuals with behavioral health problems and those with a history of substance use.
  • Previous involvement in inpatient settings or comparable environments will be advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
