This role owns the media strategy lifecycle end to end-from intake and planning through launch readiness-while ensuring tight alignment across internal teams, agency partners, and execution workflows.
As the central owner of media strategy, this role sets direction, drives integration, and ensures media plans are directly connected to broader business and go-to-market objectives.
What You'll Do

  • Define the strategic approach for media investment using business goals, audience insights, channel performance, and market conditions
  • Provide strategic guidance upstream, influencing media thinking and ensuring plans ladder into larger marketing and GTM strategies
  • Translate quantitative and qualitative insights into audience strategies, channel recommendations, and optimization plans
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Marketing Data Science, Insights, Creative, Global Media teams, and agency partners to deliver cohesive programs
  • Evaluate campaign performance against success metrics, synthesize insights, and deliver clear optimization and reporting recommendations
  • Serve as a trusted media expert and advisor to senior stakeholders across functions
Core Responsibilities
Develop integrated, multi-channel media strategies aligned to marketing and business priorities
Partner with Marketing and MDS teams to define objectives, budgets, target audiences, and KPIs

Ensure strategic consistency across channels while enabling flexibility for testing and optimization
Create comprehensive cross-channel media plans across ONP, OFP, and QPs in collaboration with internal teams and agency partners (e.g., DEPT/Spark)
Assess media partners and platforms against key criteria such as scalability, regional relevance, measurability, and performance impact
Drive partner, platform, and creative approach selection, including test-and-learn roadmaps
Own planning timelines and proactively communicate status, risks, and updates to stakeholders
Maintain overall accountability for campaign setup readiness, including trafficking, QA, and handoffs (with execution managed by agency partners)
Coordinate closely with creative teams, media agencies, and MDS to ensure readiness across assets, tracking, and measurement
Provide strategic and tactical context to Campaign Managers and Campaign Operations teams
Partner with Campaign Ops to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution
Serve as the central media liaison across marketing, creative, analytics, and agency partners
Present media strategies and plans, align cross-functional stakeholders, and secure approvals when required
Build strong working relationships that enable collaboration, clarity, and accountability
Partner on campaign briefs and strategic framing
Review pacing, performance, and campaign health updates
Incorporate analyst insights into pre-launch optimization
Participate in regular feedback loops and post-campaign reviews
Collaborate on QA findings and execution readiness
Co-create learning agendas and experimentation frameworks
Partner on audience segmentation, sizing, and measurement strategy
Integrate real-time dashboards and analytics into planning and optimization
Align on reporting standards, KPIs, and insight generation
Participate in joint readouts to inform future planning
Coordinate on account setup, access, and compliance requirements
Surface operational risks, bottlenecks, and process improvements
Lead troubleshooting and escalation for campaign execution issues
