Job title: Site Safety Professional
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Compensation Range: $45 - $50/hour

About the Role: We are seeking a Site Safety Professional (This is a Residential conversion at 480 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ. This is an existing office building where there is conversion at the top 9 floors of commercial floors into residential, which will be 288 apartments total.
Project duration would be 14 months starting in July.
Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities and work practices to maintain a safe working environment during the commercial-to-residential conversion project.
• Perform site safety audits and document findings, corrective actions, and compliance status.
• Facilitate daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and worker orientation sessions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports with corrective action recommendations.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and site-specific safety plans to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and trade personnel to promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection systems, and other safety controls.

Qualification:

• NYC DOB 62-Hour Site Safety Training
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
