Infection Prevention Manager

Position Details:
  • Facility: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital
  • Location: New Port Richey, FL (Hybrid)
  • Status: Full Time, Exempt
  • Shift Hours: 8 hours, Monday- Friday
  • On Call: Yes

Infection Prevention Manager Summary:
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating the hospital's infection prevention program, ensuring compliance with county, state, and federal regulations, accreditation requirements, and national infection prevention standards.
  • This role oversees daily operations, leads and supports infection preventionists (IPs) through recruitment, performance evaluation, and staff education, and collaborates with clinical leadership to reduce both potential and actual infection risks.
  • Coordinates mandatory reporting of hospital-associated infections to state and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies including CMS, the Joint Commission, and the Department of Health.
  • Works to integrate enterprise-wide programs and initiatives into local hospital practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Required Credentials:
    • Certification Infection Control and Master's degree in Public Health OR
    • Certification Infection Control and a RN License or Medical Tech License or RRT License & Active NBRC Credential RRT.
  • Required Education:

Education - dependent upon Credentials.
  • Associates degree in Nursing or Diploma Nursing or Bachelors clinical related or Masters Public or Masters Epidemiology
    • Required Experience:
      • 5 years Clinical Related
      • 3 years Infection Control
    • Preferred Experience:
      • 2 years Management
