The Job
As an In-Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) at FirstLight Home Care you will provide skilled, personalized healthcare to patients in their homes, including assessments, wound care, medication administration, and developing care plans. Responsibilities involve patient education, and communicating with physicians. Requires an active RN license, reliable transportation, and exceptional independent judgment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes. The RN will conduct assessments, implement personalized care plans, and deliver skilled interventions, enabling patients to recover or manage chronic conditions in a comfortable home environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment & Care: Perform initial and ongoing physical assessments, monitor vital signs, and develop/update individualized plans of care.
  • Skilled Interventions: Administer medications, perform wound care, and provide treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic medical records (EMR) for each visit.
  • Education: Educate patients and their family members on disease management, safety, and self-care techniques.
  • Coordination & Supervision: Communicate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team regarding changes in patient condition; supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Home Health Aides.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and company policies, including HIPAA and OSHA infection control standards.
Requirements
  • License: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Previous experience in home health is highly prefered.
