Job description

We are currently accepting applications for a Unit QA / Infection Control RN within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude is a must. Must enjoy working with our residents and families.

Qualifications:

  1. An active, Registered Nurse.
  2. Experience with the elderly population is preferred but not a requirement.
  3. Experience in Infection Control preferred
  4. A drug screen and background check will be required.
  5. Great attendance is required.
  6. Must be very organized due to the extensive amount of paperwork.
  7. Must be a self-starter and very motivated.
  8. Must have several years of Nursing experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. This nurse will keep track of all infections and antibiotic use, including antibiotic stewardship.
  2. To act as a liaison and representative of the residents and staff with the infections and medical needs.
  3. This position will require someone who will be flexible with shifts and/or hours.
  4. Must have the resident’s best interest in mind at all times and abide by the federal and state regulations.
  5. Be a part of the Quality Assurance team.
