Job description

Are you a RN looking for a leadership position to advance your career? At AristaCare we have just the opportunity you are looking for. We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team in providing quality care to residents. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure the upmost quality and patient-centered care of residents
  • Coordinate infection control
  • Plan organize and implement training programs/in-services for clinical staff.
  • Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of residents. This may include recruitment.
  • Oversee the process for competency evaluations and corrective action plans.
Requirements
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NJ.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in clinical setting is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in long term care/sub-acute setting is preferred
  • Infection Control: 1 year (Highly Preferred)
  • Must be computer literate and experience with EMR preferred
  • Completion of IP Course within 3-6 months of hire would be expected.
