Job description

Summary
This role provides support for all pharmacy order entry systems, inventory systems, financials within EPIC, and dispensing / packaging applications at MyMichigan Health. Applications supported include but are not limited to: Robot Rx, PacMed, Omnicell, and EPIC.
Responsibilities
(30%)* Oversees database maintenance of pharmacy dispensing / packaging hardware and software applications. This includes the addition/deletion of user accounts and items, and optimizing the use of automation capabilities.
(20%)* Responsible for technical implementation and maintenance of the above hardware / software. Gathers pricing information for new applications as needed.
(20%)* Trains all pharmacy staff (including pharmacists, technicians, and interns) on the above pharmacy hardware / software, and assists with maintaining competency.
(20%)* Responsible for software / hardware trouble-shooting for all sites, provides guidance for planned and unexpected Downtime.
(10%)* Monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves pharmacy-specific billing issues that occur due to interface errors.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be asked to assist in special projects related to the essential duties and responsibilities (as approved by supervisor) such as kit maintenance, workflow improvement, and other requests.
May be asked to respond to pharmacy billing audit requests (such as from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), commercial insurances, and patient requests) by providing requested data and making corrections as needed.

Individuals with a temporary license must obtain a full license through the state of Michigan within 365 days of obtaining the temporary license.
