The Human Resources Assistant provides vital administrative support to the Human Resources Manager of Indy Scream Park. This role is focused on the high-volume coordination of hiring, paperwork compliance, and interview scheduling to ensure a smooth onboarding process for our massive seasonal team.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment Support: Assist the HR Manager in sorting applications and coordinating the interview calendar to ensure a steady pipeline of candidates.
• Onboarding & Paperwork: Oversee the collection and organization of all new-hire documents, including tax forms, waivers, and employment verification.
• Administrative Operations: Maintain accurate employee files and digital records, ensuring all staff information is up-to-date and easily accessible for management.
• Communication: Serve as a professional point of contact for applicants and employees, assisting with scheduling inquiries and general park information.
• Time & Attendance Support: Assist the HR Manager in reporting nightly time clock hours and maintaining attendance logs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the HR Manager to prepare materials for employee training and orientation sessions.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Further education in business administration or Human Resources is preferred.
• Exceptional Organizational Skills:Ability to process large volumes of paperwork quickly and accurately.
• Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff and applicants.
• Tech Proficiency: Ability to work quickly and efficiently on an Apple computer, iPad, and iPhone.
• Detail Oriented: A commitment to ensuring all "Legalities" (tax forms, IDs, and signatures) are completed correctly.
• Composure: Ability to maintain a calm and helpful attitude in a high-pressure, fast-paced event environment.
• Reliability: Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as the season dictates.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check.
