Job description

Tech/Electronics company located in Plainview NY is looking for a Production Engineer to join their team. Full benefits including 26 days off the first year and bonus.

Being the Production Engineer, you will help with the engineering and quality agenda with the overall goal to improve the customer satisfaction. You are the main contact towards the suppliers and work as part of the business team together with the supplier to develop and secure the production process, handling of quality deviations, and secure compliance to all company requirements. About the assignment: The Production Engineer is responsible for Quality Assurance including to secure process control for key processes in production. Among other things, you:
• Develop new manufacturing processes, and equipment to ensure manufacturing is efficient and effective.
• Investigate and analyze problems and derive solutions in the manufacturing process.
• Transfer R&D prototypes into series production phase and document the manufacturing processes.
• Perform and create First Article Inspection Documents. 
• Perform Product audits and production risk assessments at suppliers 
• Develops the recipe with suppliers to match desired taste profile quality and nutrition. 
• Lead the Supplier Development for quality and manufacturing with responsibility to identify and implement actions and execution of SDP projects. 
• Lead industrialization of minor news development and contribute with competence to other new developments. 

Knowledge about Total Quality Management - University degree in Engineering or corresponding
Previous experience as Process or Production Engineer in manufacturing Preferred
Experience of industrial production conditions and Lean manufacturing
