Description
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role supports production by minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and timely repairs. The electrician works with high- and low-voltage systems, motors, control panels, PLCs, and other electrical components, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes
Available Shifts:
Monday-Thursday: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Friday-Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (+$2 Shift Differential)
The compensation range for this position is $30.00- $40.00. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The posted range represents the expected earning potential for this position within the current organizational budget and market conditions.
Essential Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, transformers, control panels, and wiring.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using test instruments and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Install and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in CMMS.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support reliability initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Comply with all safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
  • Supports the Mission of the organization and adheres to all company policies
  • Performs other duties as directed

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (as required by local regulations).
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or maintenance electrical work.
  • Certifications in NFPA 70E, OSHA safety, or PLC programming are a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits, motors, and control systems.
