Job description

Overview

The Industrial RN will work in an industrial setting delivering excellent customer service and maintaining quality patient care consistent with established policies and goals/objectives of OHG. The Industrial RN is responsible to attend to and follow up on occupational injuries and illnesses and provide emergency medical assistance as needed. Provides preventive treatment as needed to plant workers. Accountable for the day-to-day activities of the clinical operations of the clients clinic. Promotes collaborative practices with other departments, physicians, and clinics. Performs any other duties as assigned. Supports clients health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

Education required: RN Degree from and accredited school of nursing 

License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama State Registered Nurses License; BLS certification must be received within the orientation period. Will be required to become certified in Federal Drug and Alcohol testing.

Experience: Three (3) years pervious experience in occupational health clinical nursing preferred.

  • Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
  • Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with companies, patients, families, physicians, employees and staff.

  • Ability and willingness to work with all patients.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures.
  • Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.
