Position Opportunity

Alamance Foods is seeking a motivated Data Analyst – Manufacturing & Engineering to support data-driven decision-making across manufacturing and engineering operations. In this hands-on, onsite role, you will partner with plant teams and engineering stakeholders to analyze operational data, improve processes, and deliver actionable insights that enhance manufacturing performance, optimize costs, and support strategic business decisions.


Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Engineering Data Analysis
  • Analyze and manage data across the Engineering Department, including:
    • Maintenance and equipment performance
    • Facility operations
    • Environmental systems (wastewater, chemicals, utilities, greenhouse gas emissions)
    • Packaging and production processes
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities using operational and engineering data.
  • Perform data cleaning, validation, and integration across multiple data sources.
  • Build and maintain datasets for ongoing reporting and analysis.
  • Translate business and engineering requirements into actionable data-driven insights.

Capital Projects & Financial Analysis
  • Support CAPEX project analysis, including:
    • Cost tracking
    • Budget versus actual analysis
    • Return on Investment (ROI)
    • Payback period analysis
  • Develop financial models supporting new equipment purchases and process improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to:
    • Understand manufacturing processes and data flows.
    • Identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements based on analytical findings.

Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI (preferred) or similar visualization tools.
  • Track and report:

    • Wastewater and chemical usage
    • Maintenance performance metrics
  • Present findings to engineering leadership and operational stakeholders.
QualificationsEducation/Training
