The Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office (PMW 790) is acquiring support services in the areas of production systems engineering, logistics, installation management, and integration/planning/requirements services for the architecture, integration, acquisition, and support of multiple shore and expeditionary Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) programs. PMW 790's mission is to acquire, integrate, deliver, and support interoperable shore-based C4I capabilities for the warfighter. PMW 790's vision is to be the preeminent provider of integrated shore-based transformational Network Centric Warfare capabilities to the warfighter by providing assured connectivity between tactical forces and higher commands. The overarching goal is to ensure C4I systems programmed for installation on Navy ships have matching shore facilities of appropriate capacity to support Fleet deployments worldwide. Our goal is to migrate the shore sites and their terrestrial interconnections into a coherent, scalable, network-centric communications and multiplexing fabric designed to optimize functionality by effecting improvements that both satisfy current shortfalls and, wherever possible, provide the building blocks for future C4I architecture.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Installation Design Plan (IDP) Reviewer is responsible for conducting detailed reviews of installation drawings, ensuring they align with NAVWAR standards and compliance requirements on the PMW 790 Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office Planning and Logistics Support Services contract. The role involves utilizing tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam to assess and annotate drawings with precision. The IDP Reviewer plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of installation designs by identifying discrepancies, ensuring adherence to protocols, and providing necessary documentation. By meticulously reviewing these drawings, the IDP Reviewer contributes significantly to the overall quality assurance (QA) process, preventing potential errors and inconsistencies before implementation. This proactive approach is essential in avoiding costly rework, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding the highest levels of safety and reliability, directly supporting NAVWAR's mission of delivering high-quality, compliant solutions. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

What You'll Do
  • Reviews and evaluates Shore Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDPs), and As-Built drawings in compliance with Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH).
  • Reviews C4I installation and redline drawing packages using industry standard AutoCAD drafting software.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies, errors, or non-compliance issues within the system designs. Collaborate with drafters and leads to address and resolve identified discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation and records. Provide clear and detailed documentation of the review process, including feedback, corrective actions, and final approvals. Keep accurate records of all reviewed installation drawings for future reference.
  • Must stay current with NAVWAR standards and procedures, ensuring that all reviewed drawings meet the latest guidelines.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • Five (5) years of experience conducting installation drawing reviews and/or applicable fields.
  • Typically, this position requires knowledge or experience in the following areas:
    • NAVWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook version 4.1
    • Installation Requirements Drawing (IRD) Standard V2.2
    • National Electrical Code (NEC)
    • Installation Database (SPIDER and IMO Tracker)
    • NAVWAR 4.2 Formatting checklist version 4.1
    • FRCB standards and processes
  • This position also requires knowledge and experience with the following software applications:
    • Autodesk AutoCAD
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Proficiency with MS Excel software specifically (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
    • Experience with Adobe Acrobat AND Bluebeam to include being able to edit, organize, change, create, and export PDF documents.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, a scientific or related field or technical trade school, military service, or related experience desired.
  • Prior experience supporting NAVWAR System Center Command, Program Executive Office (PEO) Command Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) or related Department of Navy (DON) organization desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
