To thrive as an Individual Giving Associate, you need a solid understanding of fundraising principles, donor relations, and data management, usually supported by a bachelor's degree in a related field. Familiarity with donor management databases like Raiser's Edge or Salesforce, as well as proficiency in CRM systems and basic analytics tools, is highly valued. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills help you connect with donors and manage multiple priorities effectively.
