Buyer, Indirect Purchasing
Keep our teams moving by connecting people, services, and suppliers that power innovation.
At Gogo, delivering world-class connectivity solutions requires more than cutting-edge technology. It takes strong partnerships, efficient procurement processes, and reliable supplier relationships to ensure our teams have the resources they need to support customers around the globe.
As our Buyer, Indirect Purchasing, you'll manage the procurement of non-inventory materials and services that support business operations across the organization. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and Supply Chain team members to ensure timely purchasing, supplier performance, and process excellence while helping teams accomplish their goals efficiently and effectively.
If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, solving procurement challenges, and managing multiple priorities with attention to detail, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Own the indirect purchasing process and serve as the primary point of contact for non-inventory procurement activities across the organization
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts to ensure service, quality, cost, and performance objectives are achieved
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding activities for suppliers not currently included on approved vendor lists
  • Manage RFQ processes, evaluate supplier proposals, and support sourcing decisions
  • Process purchase requests, issue purchase orders through ERP systems, and maintain accurate procurement records
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance, track open purchase orders, and proactively resolve issues that impact timelines
  • Resolve supplier concerns related to pricing, delivery, invoicing, and quality
  • Validate completed services and coordinate invoice reconciliation to ensure accurate payment processing
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier performance, and operational efficiency

What You'll Bring
  • 2-4 years of experience in indirect purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or a related supply chain function
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and procurement transactions
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems and purchasing tools to manage procurement activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with procurement-related data
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external suppliers

Even Better If You Have
You don't need to check every box below. If you bring experience in some of these areas, we'd especially like to hear from you:
  • Experience within aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, telecommunications, or technology industries
  • Exposure to contract administration, supplier negotiations, and strategic sourcing practices
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier performance management
  • Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or supplier management platforms
  • Experience supporting indirect spend categories such as professional services, facilities, IT, or operational services
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or related supply chain credentials
  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
