Job Summary
The Manager, INDIRECT Commodity will oversee the company's strategic sourcing activities for Indirect Material spend, including supplier identification and selection, contract negotiations, and indirect category management best practices. The successful candidate will be experienced in Strategic Sourcing Processes with a successful track record of Indirect materials and services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a logical thinker with a keen eye for detail. The Indirect Commodity Lead/Manager will work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all business locations to secure needs to execute cost reduction initiatives, supplier performance, and project outcomes.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Oversee indirect strategic sourcing processes, including contract management, supplier selection, and pricing negotiations.
Develop and implement commodity management best practices to ensure efficiency and efficacy in products total cost of ownership.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for the company
Manage and monitor suppliers' performance, conduct quarterly business review process and ensure compliance with organizational goals and financial targets
Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure commodity strategies align with business goals and objectives
Analyze market trends and conditions to ensure we are realizing alignment with best practices
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including environmental and safety requirements
Track supply chain procurement metrics and report on performance to management
Provide guidance and training to team members in strategic sourcing processes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
5+ experience in procurement or supply chain management
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in procurement software and technology, including ERP systems
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to procurement
Certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred
