  • Sales Management: Consistently collect and grow weekly sales orders from assigned accounts.
  • Client Visits: Regularly visit clients and conduct follow-up calls to assess needs, manage inventory, enhance sales through upselling/cross-selling, promote trials/samples, and maintain promotion awareness.
  • Product Expertise: Master product knowledge to provide tailored recommendations.
  • Collections Support: Support the collections team in securing timely payments from accounts, including necessary follow-ups.
  • Relationship Cultivation: Cultivate strong relationships with grocery and restaurant clients, advising on planogram planning, product selections, and order processes.
  • Market Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Indian food market.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues swiftly, logging and tracking significant concerns for resolution.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to increase market share and wallet size.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of field sales experience in any of the following industries: food & beverage, hospitality, distribution, or FMCG/CPG (Indian or South Asian food is a plus).
  • Bilingual in English and Hindi; additional South Asian languages a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and clean record; willing to travel up to 75%.
  • Capable of occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Work Experience in South Asian (Indian) grocery or restaurant sales.
  • Familiar with diverse markets; adept at working in fast-paced settings.
  • Previous experience with desktop and/or tablet-based sales order management tools (e.g. Quickbooks, Sage, Netsuite, SAP, Odoo)

Physical Requirements
  • Significant field work, at least 75% travel.

Schedule
  • Monday to Friday, with required evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Office is based in Carol Stream, Illinois
  • Responsibilities will require frequent travel between office and customer locations for site visits.
