Social Media Specialist - Bring Stories to Life. Build Communities. Inspire Engagement.
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center/Indian Pueblos Marketing, Inc. (IPCC/IPMI) is seeking a creative, energetic, and highly organized Social Media Specialist to help grow our digital presence across a diverse portfolio of brands. If you're passionate about creating engaging content, staying ahead of social media trends, and building meaningful online communities, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll combine creativity with strategy-developing compelling content, capturing authentic stories, engaging with audiences, and supporting integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and drive engagement. You'll work alongside a collaborative marketing team while helping showcase the unique experiences, destinations, and initiatives that make IPCC and our campus exceptional.
This is requires a flexible schedule to support content creation, live event coverage, and brand activations during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
What You'll Do
Create Content That Connects
  • Develop, create, schedule, and publish engaging social-first content across multiple social media platforms.
  • Produce compelling photography, video, reels, stories, graphics, and written content that reflects each brand's unique voice.
  • Capture on-site content at events, community activities, promotions, and IPMI locations.
  • Edit photos and videos using Adobe Creative Cloud and other approved creative tools.
  • Repurpose existing content into new formats to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library of photography, video, graphics, and user-generated content.
Grow and Engage Online Communities
  • Manage the daily execution of social media activities across all IPMI brands and platforms.
  • Monitor comments, direct messages, reviews, and mentions while providing timely, professional responses.
  • Foster authentic engagement and meaningful conversations with online audiences.
  • Escalate customer service concerns or reputation issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging social conversations.
Drive Performance Through Strategy
  • Execute social media content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and business objectives.
  • Adapt content for each platform based on audience behavior and best practices.
  • Track audience growth, engagement, and campaign performance.
  • Analyze key performance metrics and prepare regular reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Stay current on platform updates, emerging technologies, and social media trends to continuously improve results.
Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Partner with marketing, operations, and internal stakeholders to support promotions, campaigns, and special events.
  • Coordinate content approvals and ensure consistency with brand standards.
  • Support paid social media campaigns with creative assets and audience insights.
  • Gather stories, promotions, and content opportunities from multiple business locations.
Support Brand Excellence
  • Utilize approved Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve workflow efficiencies and content development in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, copyright requirements, privacy regulations, and social media policies.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives and special projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience managing social media channels and creating content for a business, agency, organization, or brand.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation.
Preferred Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who is both creative and analytical with a passion for digital storytelling and audience engagement. Successful candidates will have:
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
  • Experience creating high-quality photography, graphics, reels, and short-form video.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat.
  • Experience using approved AI tools to enhance creativity and workflow efficiency.
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling, publishing, and management platforms.
  • Experience interpreting social media analytics and performance metrics.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional quality and customer service.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an office environment but regularly requires work at IPMI properties, community events, and promotional activities. The role includes content creation in dynamic settings and requires flexibility to meet campaign deadlines and provide live event coverage. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required as business needs dictate.
