Squires Gastro Pub is looking for a skilled and passionate Indian Cook with strong Tandoor experience to join our kitchen team in Burlington. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented professional who is experienced in preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high food quality and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes under the direction of the Head Chef
  • Specialize in Tandoor cooking including naan, kebabs, tikkas, and other grilled Indian specialties
  • Ensure food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
  • Plan and organize ingredients and cooking equipment for daily kitchen operations
  • Monitor food portions, inventory levels, and minimize food wastage
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and support team operations
  • Assist with inventory control and stock management when required
  • Follow established cooking procedures, food safety regulations, and production timelines


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Indian cooking
  • Strong hands-on experience working with Tandoor is mandatory
  • Experience preparing North Indian and South Indian dishes is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
