Grinder Operator

Location: Elk Point, AB

Shift: 14 days on / 7 days off


J. Post Haulage is seeking an experienced Grinder Operator to operate a grinder in Elk Point, AB. This is a hands-on role ideal for an operator who is confident working independently, managing multiple tasks on site, and maintaining a strong focus on safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a grinder safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.

  • Complete mulching and land-clearing work as directed.

  • Assist with other site tasks as required.

  • Work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and crew.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

  • Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) experience.

  • Experience operating grinders.

  • Excavator experience considered a strong asset.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing site conditions.

  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

 

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Previous site supervisor or lead hand experience.
