SUMMARY

The Site QA/QC Inspector position is a critical role for the company. This individual must have a good attendance record and have a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity. ย Must be able to follow all safety rules and regulations and work as a part of a team daily.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform quality assurance/control inspections for Data Centers.
  • Review and implement approved construction drawings, welding procedures, shop drawings, and project specifications.
  • Communicate with welders, foremen, superintendents, project managers, engineers, and building inspectors regarding inspection findings and compliance issues.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting compliance with contract documents, approved drawings, codes, and applicable standards.
  • Inspect and verify welding activities for compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable welding codes.
  • Ensuring work is performed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, RFC plans, and approved welding procedures.
  • Identify and document non-conforming work and initiate corrective action procedures as required.
  • Verify welder qualifications and welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR).
  • Administer Welder / Brazer performance qualifications.
  • Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with applicable codes.
  • Coordinate nondestructive testing (NDT) activities and review test results.
  • Document weld discontinuities, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain current AWS CWI certification and other required credentials.
  • Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • Previous experience in welding inspection, quality assurance, or quality control for construction projects preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.5 & B31.9, ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, D1.6 and applicable building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, welding symbols, shop drawings, specifications, Welder performance qualifications (WPQ) and welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and inspection assignments.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, project managers, and clients.
  • Job duties are subject to change; other duties as assigned by the manager.

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Any certifications in MT, PT, or UT is a plus.
