Do you want to help with the advancement of renewable energy?

Do you enjoy leading projects, helping customers, solving complex problems, making a meaningful impact accelerating the energy transition away from fossil fuels, all while experiencing the satisfaction of delivering impactful projects from start to finish?

DNV Energy Systems is hiring a Project Manager Solar Independent Engineering (Distributed Generation, Residential & Storage) within ourteam. In this role, you will work on a variety of distributed generation, community solar, commercial & industrial (C&I), residential solar and solar + storage projects throughout North America. You will be exposed to the entire project life cycle, working with the biggest developers and financiers in the space with cutting edge technology.

The primary functions of this role include supporting major customer accounts, performing project due diligence, managing projects, contributing to process improvements, sharing knowledge, obtaining and receiving feedback, and a bit of business development including developing proposals.

By joining our team, you will be part of accelerating the widespread deployment of solar energy, energy storage systems, and positively impacting society and the planet. We achieve our purpose through the long-term success of our customers. We strive to be a high-performing, innovative team that reflects the equity, respect, and diversity we wish to see in the world. We care about providing our employees with fulfilling long-term experience. We are proud supporters of our ever-growing community of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

DNV is the worldโ€™s leading renewable energy consultant. DNVโ€™s Solar team holds a substantial market position for independent engineering services to support the financing and construction of solar and solar + storage projects in North America, and our staff are viewed as experts and thought leaders in the industry. In this role, our team provides technical consulting and independent engineering services for solar project developers, financial institutions, and investors who rely on our reports as part of their investment decision making process.

Why Join Our Team

Our team combines technical rigor with a collaborative and supportive culture. We believe the best solutions come from people who are curious, willing to learn, eager to share knowledge, and passionate about helping customers succeed. Youโ€™ll work alongside industry experts who challenge each other to grow, innovate, and continuously improve how we serve the renewable energy industry.

We value individuals who bring not only strong technical and project management skills, but also a growth mindset, a customer-first attitude, and a genuine desire to contribute to a high-performing and inclusive team.

We are looking for individuals who embody DNVโ€™s values and are excited to contribute to a culture built on customer trust, teamwork, continuous improvement, digital curiosity, and the shared mission of accelerating the energy transition.

This role can be based out of a DNV office in the following markets: Oakland (CA), San Diego (CA), Austin (TX), Houston (TX), Portland (OR), Seattle (WA), New York City (NY), Medford (MA), or Dallas (TX), presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will at least spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

The position may also be considered at other DNV offices within the US.
