Job description

URGENTLY!

MJ Delivery Corporation is hiring reliable delivery drivers for established delivery routes throughout San Diego County and surrounding areas.

This is a fast-paced delivery position for drivers who are dependable, communicate well, and can complete an assigned route independently.

Schedule: Monday–Saturday
Pay: Weekly
Compensation: Based on assigned route/volume
Route volume: Approximately 350–650 stops per week depending on the route
Work type: Residential and commercial package delivery

Training / Trial Period

Every new driver starts the first couple of days using their own vehicle as a trial period.

This allows both the driver and MJ Delivery to make sure the position is a good fit before assigning a company van.

During the trial period:

  • Driver must have a reliable personal vehicle to start off with
  • Valid driver's license and current insurance are required
  • Driver will be assigned a shorter/training route
  • Driver will learn the scanner/app, delivery procedures and route expectations
  • Performance, reliability and ability to complete the route will be evaluated
  • After successfully completing the trial period, eligible drivers will transition into a company delivery van

Driver Responsibilities

Drivers are responsible for completing their assigned route each day, including:

  • Loading and organizing packages
  • Following the assigned delivery route
  • Scanning and properly delivering all packages
  • Completing residential and commercial deliveries within required timeframes
  • Following all delivery/photo/scan procedures
  • Communicating immediately with dispatch regarding route or delivery issues
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and providing good customer service
  • Keeping assigned company vehicles clean inside and outside
  • Returning undeliverable packages and completing end-of-day procedures
  • Being reliable and showing up consistently for scheduled routes

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Must pass background check and MVR
  • Reliable personal vehicle for the initial trial period
  • Current auto insurance
  • Smartphone
  • Reliable transportation to the dispatch location
  • Able to lift and carry packages
  • Comfortable driving and delivering for several hours
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently
  • Delivery experience is preferred but not required

We are looking for drivers who want consistent routes, not temporary or occasional work. Reliability is extremely important because once a route is assigned, we depend on that driver to service it consistently.
